1st Wipe Project: Sexism in Korea Workplace
The Blur Side is a Korean magazine series that talks about social issues that people are not very aware. We all have an unknown side which is called blur, and we can see that unknown side clearly after making some changes. The first Wipe Project is about Sexism in Korea Workplace.

Background
Past 3~4 years, South Korean female workers were started to expose
sexism and sexual assaults in the workplace after feminism issues.
However, society kept avoiding the problems and it is hard to expose
because of prejudice and social conditions.

Research
Korea has a strong feminism wave in 2016 after Seocho Public Murder
Case which is a misogyny crime. Furthermore, the Korean prosecutor,
Seo Ji-Hyun, she was starting to expose sexual abuse by Me-Too
movement in 2018. After movement, the rate of sexual violence
counseling was increased by 23%.

Problem
Numerous men were being negative on the issues and the government’s response was unclear.
Solution
Designed an interactive magazine for realizing the fact that sexism still exists in the workplace.
Target Audience
Young Korean male workers in Korea (around 20 to 30 years old)
Creative Process
The first idea








From the first idea, I thought about infographics with the workbook. I was focusing on ‘How to attract my target audience’, so I used strong visual contents to bring out the issues. It was my challenge too.

The four contents are interactive, and it must be visual.
I used comics, SNS platforms (QR code), and cards.
Each content has different colours and different activities.
The main language is Korean, but I used English together.
